At Nanoq Guide Service and Survival Training, AKA Ancient Wisdom Survival School Maine, our mission is to provide meaningful experiences in the wilderness that empower individuals to become strong leaders, nurture a deep appreciation for nature, and teach vital survival and medical skills. We believe in the transformative power of nature and see it as an unparalleled classroom that fosters resilience, resourcefulness, and respect for the environment. Program in nature has helped thousands of people heal from trauma, PTSD, depression and more. Our aim is to make these experiences accessible to everyone, especially low-income and vulnerable kids, veterans, active-duty individuals, EMS, and their families. We want every student to leave with the confidence to take the world by the horns and know they can conquer any obstacle. Nanoq Guides began as a guide service in the majestic state of Maine, offering enriching outdoor experiences and sharing valuable conservation information. Recognizing the need for accessible survival education and training, we evolved into a not-for-profit organization. Today, we are proud to offer a wide range of programs that not only teach survival skills but also promote environmental awareness and provide medical training.
